Westlakes can operate direct for our nuclear clients, or as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 supplier. We are accessible via a number of Nuclear Frameworks, as well as having a proven track record of delivering fit for purpose solutions as suppliers to Tier 2s.
Our nuclear teams home bases are in West Cumbria, Local to the Sellafield and LLWR sites and in Lancashire, local to Springfields and Risley and just off the Motorway for easy transport links to the rest of our British Nuclear facilities.

Westlakes Engineering provide Civil and Structural Design Services within the Integrated Decommissioning Solutions (IDS) Consortium, consisting of Westlakes, Atkins, Altrad & Actemium. IDS are a DDP Lot 1 Delivery Partner.
The 10 year framework began in 2016, directly delivering decommissioning and wider works at the Sellafield site. The scope included within this framework includes design & engineering, decommissioning, demolition, asset care, plant enhancements, operation/maintenance support activities and waste characterisation streaming.
Westlakes Engineering are part of a Sellafield Ltd Framework, Enabling Innovation Framework 4. The scope of this covers initial identification of a business need through problem definition and provision of focused technical and digital support / solutions and subsequent support to key decision making.
The Framework is focused on the enabling of innovation rather than the delivery of innovation i.e. developing the parameters and mechanisms which will allow the achievement of innovation. It has a maximum value of £19m over a period of a maximum of four years.
