Westlakes win BECBC 2016 Large Business of the Year Award
BECBC held their Annual Business Awards on Thursday 17th November 2016 at Energus. Westlakes were delighted to win the Large Business of the Year category, which was sponsored by Sellafield Ltd.
The awards featured 22 different businesses in eight categories, all sponsored by BECBC member companies and organisations. John Grainger, Stakeholder Relations Director for BECBC, chaired a panel of shortlisting judges made up of Fred Sheil of Fred Sheil Consulting and Tracy Stainton of Burnetts Solicitors.
Receiving the award on behalf of Westlakes was Andy Hooper, Managing Director (3rd from right on front), Trevor Owen, Technical Director (middle front) and Andrew Branthwaite, Lead Engineer (3rd from left on front). Andrew was also Project Manager on the company’s largest nuclear project to date at Sellafield.
This is a huge achievement for our company, particularly with the high standard of entries within this category. It is once again a testament to the hardworking professional staff we have company wide.
